  2. Mid-Atlantic - Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington DC

  3. Mid-West - Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota

  4. Mountain - Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming

    I am a BA sociologist and would like to determine where all of you awesome beer drinkers are from. I enjoy interacting with the large majority of you, and I would like to figure out which area has the most BA members. This will help me understand which region enjoys beer the most :slight_smile:

    Shouldn't that be the region who enjoys beer the most and who enjoys being online? There maybe beer lovers out there who don't like or don't have an online presence...

    I guess that I'm the first from the Great Lakes region and I'm from a sparse part of it at that. I've seen a good number of people from my region, but few others from downstate Illinois. Not a terrible place to be a beer drinker. We get very good distribution from both east and west.

    Mid-West. But I feel like I have more of a connection with many trips to the Great Lakes region visiting family, in-laws, and friends in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.

    Technically "Great Lakes" but grew up a few miles east of the "mid-west" region while being 300 miles away from a Great Lake. Now Mid-Atlantic.

    South Atlantic. Although if I lived in the northern part of the state, I'd consider it mid Atlantic.

    Just moved to he South-Atlantic from the Southwest, the scene is a little different, but I can't complain.

    Yea Idaho and our beer!!! Sockeye, Grand Teton and Snake River Brewing all can hang with any brewery anytime, all make top notch brews all at a great price....

    First off your poll is defective in that Mid-Atlantic should be listed first because it is by far the best region.

    It would be interesting to compare your poll with the stats on the regional forums. E.g., Great Lakes shows Discussions 6,628 and Posts: 178,951. Possibly some regions are more loud-mouthed than others?
