For doing whirlpool or hop stands are you utilizing a pump? I do FO and let steep for 20 min then lower to 170 and add additional hops for my so called "whirlpool". I don't have a pump or hop back so I put them in a hop bag and let steep with the occasional swirl and dunking like a tea bag. Not using a pump or hop back I am losing flavor and aroma?

You should be able to get more than enough flavor and aroma using your current method. A constant whirlpool could provide a little more extraction. Pros do a whirlpool to help settle the hops and trub in very large kettles. This isn't needed for typical homebrew kettles.
