Curious why no one has posted about this since the presale is June 27th. What I got out of the Golden Angel thread and presale was not to try and buy them via smart phone.

I do enjoy reading all the comments

Probably cause it's muscadine grapes... Which, yeah, are tasty, but I haven't heard when they plan to sell/pick up the bottles, so people are probably trying to figure if they can swing it that weekend.

I'd buy an allotment again, but I probably won't be willing to drive to asheville to get them this go around.

    Muscadines? Not just wild grapes?

Thats what I thought. I don't think this is going to be wildly popular. Now angel of darkness.. Count me in.

I wasn't being a smart ass. Sorry! I like grapes and wild grapes, but I'm not a fan of Muscadines.

I have a feeling each release will dwindle down, until perhaps angel of darkness, since it's the last one of the year.

Golden and Red Angel have been delicious, with the nod IMO to Golden Angel, but I think the White will be the least seeked after offer, but I'd certainly love to try it.

Is Angel of Darkness going to be a different beer than Dark Arts? Are they doing another Dark Arts release this year?

I know angel of darkness is a different beer. Not 100% on another dark arts release. I have not heard any work, nor seen any barrels filled with it marked.

I was under the impression that Dark Arts was going to be done every year and released on Halloween weekend. They've said that Angel of Darkness would be December.

I hope so because dark arts was so damn funky. Unique.

can you elaborate on this a little? Is it something in particular about muscadine grapes that people don't like? Or is it just that grapes don't make popular wild ales? I'm genuinely curious, as I' e never eve heard of these kind of grapes and am surprised that they seem to have a bad reputation.

Muscadine grapes are too sweet for my personal tastes and I think a lot of other people feel that way as well. They are used to make a lot of shitty wine in the south.

When talking popsicles, jolly ranchers, or blow-pops no one goes for the grape one. Just sayin.

I have only had a sip of the Golden (saving my two I purchased, and went for the red angel the day of the release since I missed that bottle release) But my friends told me they were not huge fans due to it being all apricot and not complex enough (their words). I also heard it is better out of the bottle.

Just feel Red angel will be tough to beat IMO. Their framboos was the best thing they released IMO.

That's funny, I always loved grape flavored things and I assumed other people did too. It was usually my favorite flavor, right up there with red. I didn't know I was alone there. I always thought orange was the worst, and lemon if they had it.

I thought Golden Angel was awesome, but I do agree that it was much more fruit forward than it was sour or complex. Wish I had another one to let sit for a while and try again. Haven't had Red Angel yet, but I liked Golden better than any other sour they've done (including Framboos Morte).
