Just got an email that White Birch will be trying out a new growler policy this weekend. They will fill other brand growlers and re-brand them. Apparently they are testing the system out this weekend and it may or may not stick. I hope it does and that other NH breweries will follow suit.

I hope all New England breweries follow suit, let us know how this goes!

I won't actually be there, just on their newsletter email. I am up in VT for the weekend instead. Only downfall I see so far is that they only do 1/2 gallon fills, says they won't discount for the smaller sizes.

Good for White Birch. They usually have some interesting stuff in bottles at the brewery, too. Last time I was there they had an Apple Brandy Tripel and a Flanders Red.

How accessible is the brewery? Location/hours. I ski at Loon and always think about stopping. So they do have brewery only stuff?

Blue Lobster have been re-branding other brewery growlers for as long as I've been visiting.

They are 5 minutes (at most) off of 93, very easy to get to. Worth signing up for their email newsletter so you can see what they have going on.

Thanks for reading my newsletter. I figured I'd give it a try and see how it goes. Regarding refilling other growlers, it's a lot to consider as far as how the front end works - staffing and wait times. Regarding sizes of growlers, I guess I'm old school. I like half gallon growlers. If you're wishing to buy a smaller growler I've got 22 ounce bottles at great prices that'll do the trick just as well. No tax, no deposit as we're beautiful NH. Happy 4th to all. Cheers, Bill

Half gallon growlers are well and fine, I just have a stockpile of 32 ouncers from friends who often send me stuff from NEBCO and Cellar Maker. I will likely end up sending a bunch of them back empty as nobody up here will fill them. (to be correct, I see that you would fill them this weekend, just at the 1/2 gallon price. But I am up in VT this weekend anyway...)

Have fun in VT. Great state, second only to my beloved NH. Cheers

Thanks. Always have a blast up there (I am from the Whiter River Junction (VT), Lebanon (NH) area). Hitting up the market for Lawson's and have a few Heady at my parents that I left there last time I was up. Also hitting up Worthy Burger for the first time. I hope to get over to your place again soon and will introduce myself when I stop by.

    Have a great holiday!
