Besides the QC issues this is my gripe with WB. There are far too many beers out at the same time, they're almost crowding themselves on the shelves. Like Clown Shoes, I think they need to restructure their marketing so that fewer styles are available, hopefully creating more demand and less involuntary bottle aging.

I don't want to speak for them, but I think they've done that in the past year or so: featuring three year-round flagship beers plus three seasonal beers. So aside from a few specialty bottles or one-offs, it's just the six beers at a time, which I think is what most stores would carry. I think that takes care of the concern that there are too many varieties available at a time, and I've been happy with the more limited range.

We did restructure our marketing and sales plan. A dedicated six beers at any quarter. Some states only get one or two seasonals a quarter, NH and MA get all three. That was the plan that we rolled out last summer. This summer marked the first anniversary of the flagship and rotating seasonal plan. It's worked quite well and our retailers and customers seem a lot happier. We still offer special releases at the brewery and do a debut tasting night for those in addition to the growler at the brewery only program.
