I've ordered from the Yeast Vault a number of times before and last time I tried the 075 Hansen yeast and it was very good. I've ordered 2 more packs (only 26 left before they begin production). I've used this yeast in IPA's, Pales and Stouts and it worked very well. Anyone else ever use this yeast?
I received poor customer service from White Labs regarding a product they were supposed to send me from the vault. They told me I was to received the yeast on Friday. In January. They said to let them know if I didn't receive it. They did not respond to my next 5 emails. I've given up on the Vault.
That's a bummer. I've only ordered twice and things went fine though I worry if it'll be too hot by the time they ship this variety.
Yes, it bums me out. I have placed three orders with the vault. Order 1 was cancelled when they decided Wlp 585 was too difficult to make. I’m in no position to argue, but that yeast rocked, and I was majorly bummed out. The second one was a New England ipa Type, coastal haze. I noticed in December 2018 it moved to production mode. In January 2019 they gave me a receive by date. And then, as described above, nothing. I simultaneously ordered the Leeuwenhoek blend, which still needs 50 or so more people to agree to buy before production, but I lost faith. I brewed a saison blend from bootleg biology a few weeks ago. I emailed, asked about it, got some info on production dates, signed up to buy, and they shipped it. Will keg my saison this weekend. Bootleg can follow up on their promises; too bad for white labs.
