    Hello New England BAs,
The Wife and I are going to Lincoln NH for the night from Boston, and was wondering if any of you had a recommendation for a brewery and/or beer shop that we should stop by. I've looked around before posting, so some specific questions: We are staying at Woodstock Inn that night and know they have a brewery there, is it any good? Also saw on the Places page here on BA that One Love Brewery is also located in Lincoln, once again, is it any good? If you were to be in that area for one night what would you do or where would you be going? Thanx!

Woodstock Inn is fine. The Pigs Ear is a solid brown, the maple porter is tasty, but I don't have a ton of love for the current blueberry lemon pale.

However, you're pretty close to Littleton. Schilling Brewing is pretty awesome. Worth an hours drive, maybe - certainly worth 30 minutes.

Absolutely second the Schilling recommendation. A variety of great beers, and terrific food to go with! Quick hop north onto I-93 from Lincoln to Littleton.

Thanks for the recommendation, its all a beautiful drive up that way so a extra 1/2hr isn't the end of the world. Has anyone visited or tried One Love's beer?

Moat Mountain in Conway is pretty good. The beer isn't special, really, but it's solid and their smokehouse stuff is quite good eats.

Woodstock Inn fine, Schilling fine. You won't find great beer in the area. But if you are in that area on a sunny day, an easy hike/walk in the Flume at Franconia Notch State Park is stunning. And Breakfast at Polly's Pancake House in Sugar Hill is great! Polly's recently expanded and isn't quite as cozy as it used to be, but wife says it is just as good. Oh, that bacon.

St Johnsbury is 20 mins north of Littleton and has 3-6 HF beers on tap on the regular. Like 20 taps total and great food, cool vibe too.

Schilling's beer is definitely more than "fine", one of the best in NH

Not awesome beer, but the food is decent and the Intervale IPA is pretty solid. Service generally sucks though....

Harpoon in Windsor VT is pretty close to your route. Great spot to visit, it is in an artisans park with a distillery, Simon Pearce glassblowers, a local food products shop with wine, cheese, honey, syrup, etc. There is also a great mile long walk through a garden that is designed to take you on a representation of the path of life. Not the 'beeriest' of stops, but a solid place to visit overall.

Last I was there, they hadn't installed the brewery yet. They had a nice draft list, though.

One of the better spots in the area, but as usual, check dates thoroughly.

Only been to Schilling once but I thought it was great. Food, beer and atmosphere were excellent, and the focus on Belgian/German/Czech styles is a nice departure from what almost everyone else is going.

Woodstock put out a new IPA. 4000'er is a decent beer but old school east coast. I wonder I'd new IPA leans more to new style?

So, first off, thanks everyone to responding. I love throwing my itinerary on here and letting locals or others who have already been to the area giving suggestions. One Love Brewery still hasn't installed their brew system, they had a Kolch which was guest brewed at another location. It was good, approachable, otherwise solid summer drinker. The menu, however, ridiculous! Duck wraps with spicy veg., great gastro-pub like flare with rural pricing. Also enjoyed time at Woodstock Inn, had a flight and the highlight was the 'secret' (?, think our server forgot the name) IPA and the Oyster Stout. SOOOO, if in the Woodstock, Lincoln area (AKA the visitor center to the White Mtns/Kank. Hwy) def stop by OLB and Woodstock inn! Oh, and that bodega/deli down the block from Woodstock also didn't disappoint for good selection of craft beer!

You missed out not going to Schilling, but glad you had a great time. I stay at a seasonal campsite down the street from Lincoln and absolutely love the area, so picturesque.

If the "bodega/deli" you speak of had a gas station at it. It was Wayne's. Great store for food and best beer selection in the area.

The Vista County Store not far past Moat Mt. Brewery is the place to stop at for a bodega style pizza and beer stop. Great selection in the back.
