In Cleveland for a wedding and looking to re-up on White Rajah. Called the Brew Kettle and no dice on six packs. Anyone have any leads or have am I visiting in between bottlings (again)? Also, anything else I should be on the lookout for while in the great land of Cleve (new local releases, etc)? Thanks! Visited Fat Heads this afternoon...wow they have some delicious stuff on tap right now.
It was just bottled recently. A bunch hit Columbus last week (or the week before?) so I would think it wouldn't be too hard to find. Also Great Lakes & Thirsty Dog's Christmas ales both released yesterday-ish.
Strongsville Heinen's had 4 six packs on Friday... I grabbed two. Rob(the beer guy) said he got four cases on Tuesday and that's all he had left. Here is a tip - call Heinen's in Middleburg Heights and talk to Tim. They had power out for a few days early this week and were closed, they might have some left. Edit - if you cant find any, let me know ASAP and I will sell you one of my six packs. But I'm down to ten already...
In regards for other locals to look for. The new hoppin frog cafe silk porter just came out. Haven't tried my bottle yet but i'm really looking forward to it.
It was bottled and distributed two weeks ago and its gone off shelfs. TBK hardly had any at the brewpub and they only had so much on tap.
I just remembered that White Rajah is on Winking Lizard's World Beer Tour list and it should be available there at all times(this is also one reason it's scarce at local stores). You may pay a premium, but they will sell it to go.
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions! Was able to do a scavenger hunt and lock down a couple sixers of the stuff at Lizardville and Heinen's. Headhunter + White Rajah > Blind Pig + Pliny Cleveland rocks.
