OK, so I have read a few threads now on horror stories of shipping out the beer you might be trading. I do know for sure that the USPS, and UPS will not ship alcohol. However, I just sent out a package via Fed Ex with beer in it, and no problems so far. Also, knowing that they wouldn't, used UPS to send out a few bottles to my dad in California, from Maine. This latest package was sent on Monday going from Florida from Maine. So, what shipping company do you use to ship out your trades? Have you had problems?

USPS is a no-no. Both UPS and Fedex have similar policies about shipping beer (it's against their TOS). Unless you have a license, no beer you ship will be shipped legally or compliant with company rules.

Having said that, you should generally be fine shipping either UPS or Fedex, unless they find out what's in the package.

When I traded I used FedEx exclusively. Absolutely no problems on my end of things.

While I was a manager at UPS, I shipped through Fedex for all my trades as I did not want it to interfere with my work. Now that I have resigned my position, I will still ship though Fedex as it is more cost effective and as long as it is packaged well there should be no issues. USPS, as stated before, is a "no" in my book as there are potential legal ramifications. Shipping with UPS/Fedex, alcohol would be a violation of the TOS.

OK, so just safe packaging and I should be good sticking with Fed Ex. Cool Thanks! Hopefully I will not encounter any issues with future trades.

Score for me. 3 disasters by FedEx sent to me. All my trades sent by UPS with no, zero, nada problems. All trades arriving to me by UPS, no, zero, nada problems. YMMV

I work for UPS so naturally I ship with them. But fed ex is a bit cheaper.

    Fed Ex:
Cheaper--get an account. Plus you get free bubble envelopes.
Safer--I have spoken to numerous reps/drivers, no issues with alcohol. They know it is shipped, but don't go looking unless a packaged is damaged, then obviously have no recourse.
70+ packages shipped and no issues.
    Cheers!
