I will be brewing a Bourbon Vanilla Porter that should end up with an OG of 1.080. I'll be using a yeast starter for the first time (1.7L)...looking forward to the results.

    How about you?

Brewing another beer in my CA series, Citra and Amarillo, a "pilsner". Not to style obviously but I don't mind. I guess it would be more of an IPL? 10 lb pils malt and 1 lb M.O. White labs 800.

Kegging 10 gallons of Mild and 10 gallons of XPA. Racking sour onto peaches. Hoping these will last me until the new year, as I'm shutting down brewing for the rest of the year.

Bottling a Citra/Galaxy Ipa and going to the early opening at Blue Jacket Brewery in DC. I've read that they will have 19 fermentation vessels with a few different types. One being a cool ship for lambics. Can't wait to check it out.

    Burner will stay silent.

But, I do have a kitchen sink APA to keg which needs to be ready by next weekend. Fermentation is complete, so hopefully it is cleaning up a bit for now. Just last week I found out my in-laws were coming next weekend, so this one will be grain to glass in two weeks (plenty of time).

I also have 4 gallons of a club brewed RR Temptation clone which needs to be bottled.

Looks like a Scottish export is in the works. Just wanted to do something non-hoppy for a change, since my last 3-4 beers have all been pretty bitter. May have to postpone if it's as hot as it looks like it might be.

Sad sad news... I know you are a busy guy and all but 1/3 of the year with no brewing is rough.

Passed calculus II, cause for celebration! Hardest damn class I've ever taken (with 170+ credits).

Gonna brew one of two recipes tomorrow, either vienna+munich/belma+cascade double/smash, or oatmeal stout. If I get a hops schedule for the stout, it'll be that. See the post I'll make shortly for that.

Brewing a ginger Saison Friday afternoon, which will be my last "summer" style beer for the year. With the rain forecast preventing most other activities, we'll likely also brew a nut brown ale on Sat or Sun.

Also kegging an Irish Red ale tomorrow so that it will have 2 good weeks of cold aging before college football tailgating Aug. 31.

Yeah, its a real bummer:flushed: I'm up against a huge deadline, so if I don't finish my thesis and have it signed off on by 01/01/14 (I'm starting writing it on 9/1/13) I forfeit a two year, $200,000 fellowship and National Science foundation Principle Investigator status, which would be beyond bad. Add my first kid due in November, and additional work on the side with two different collaborators, and my stress level is astronomical.

Good luck with that, and congrats on the kid. My worst experience writing my dissertation (British thesis) was to discover a large bed bug infestation in my Uni housing. That sucked, but I would have simply extended if I missed the deadline.
