I drank Shark Bite at Pizza Port Carlsbad last month.

There's no listing on BA for Pizza Port Shark Bite (despite it being their "signature beer") but there's one for Port Shark Bite, with a Port Brewing label.

But... there's lots of references to Pizza Port Shark Bite, including a t-shirt with the Pizza Port logo.

So, I'm confused - is this 2 beers or one?

Little bit of history I wasn't aware of, according to Pizza Port's wikipedia page:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_Port

Pizza Port Brewing Company is a brewpub with five locations in Southern California: Solana Beach, two in Carlsbad (Downtown and Bressi Ranch), Ocean Beach and San Clemente. A former Pizza Port location in San Marcos spun out of Pizza Port in 2006 and is now an independent operation, the Port Brewing Company / Lost Abbey brewery. It has received multiple awards, including "Small Brewpub of the Year" for both 2003 and 2004 by the Great American Beer Festival and six awards for its beers at the World Beer Cup.

    and

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Brewing_Company/
In 2006 Pizza Port owners Vince and Gina Marsaglia expanded the beer production in a brewing facility formerly owned by Stone Brewing Company in San Marcos. This existing brewery space led to an increase the amount of beers available for distribution. The new brewery project was named Port Brewing Company, LLC.

Sharkbite is a Pizza Port beer. Yes, it was at one time brewed by Port Brewing, many years ago, and hasn't been brewed there since probably '07/'08. Up until the opening of Bressi Ranch, each pub brewed Sharkbite at each location. When Bressi opened, they began brewing Sharkbite and Chronic at that location on a much larger scale, allowing each pub more tank space for location specific beers, while still being able to serve Sharkbite.

I disagree to a degree. If it comes in a bomber then it's Port Brewing. If it comes in a can then it's Pizza Port. Port Brewing has historically been, prior to Bressi Ranch, the bottling/distribution side of the equation. Port brewing includes the Lost Abbey brand and Tomme. Vince and Gina exist throughout. As such, Sharkbite I believe is a Bagby recipe, first brewed at Pizza Port Carlsbad, then brewed for bottling at Port, and yes the original Stone facility. Thus it is a Port Brewing beer as for legal interpretation even though it originated as a Pizza Port beer.
