The new Resin cans are only 12 oz. Looking to try it, but I feel like i"ll be missing something.

Totally worth it. But yes, I was in quite shock when I opened my 4 pack up to see the skinny cans.

They announced on the old forums that they would be in 12oz cans to avoid having to raise the price of their 4-packs and because bigger beers should be in smaller serving sizes.

I wonder if the smaller packaging is to compensate for the higher ABV.

I like the smaller cans. Feels like I could fool people into thinking I was having an energy drink in public.

Ah yes, the cans that sparked the infamous "Tall Boy" debate.

I feel like I should try this beer to see what all the skinny can fuss is about. My bottle shop only has them packed in the 4 packs for $10, so I haven't actually seen the can in person.

I like the packaging, haven't tried the beer yet, though!

I was going to pick up a 4 pack of the Resin, but it was $14 at my local bottle shop!

I had to double take when I saw this. I thought it was some sort of optical illusion, looked too much like the Red Bull cans. No problem with it though, 12oz of a Big, Hoppy beer is quite alright for me.

Someone should send me one of these cans so I can closely inspect it and weigh in on the issue.

Resin is delicious. I was waiting a few months for this to come out and is totally worth the wait.

I was a little skeptical of the RedBull cans but the beer is quite refreshing and woth the price.

I loved the can (and the decision to offer a stronger beer in a smaller container - too often brewers seem to go the opposite way, which makes little sense to me), but sadly found the beer to be a bit disappointing. Smelled nice, tasted boring. Oh well.

Cheers to more craft in cans!

I gotta say I was pretty let down with Resin, I though it was too malty for a DIPA and it had an odd taste in the finish like all Sixpoint beers do for me. It's like they replaced the hops with pennies or something. After every sip I feel like I just licked loose change. I keep buying their beer on the novelty of the packaging and every time I've been let down. Someday I will learn to stay away.

Pretty soon all their cans will go to 12 oz talls, then other brewers will follow.
Then they'll move to 9 oz talls and there will be 3 cans per box
..but it will be a triangular box so no one notices.

Of course the price will still remain the same, citing the economy.

    Don't worry, it's worth it.
