I had this years last Monday - seemed appropriate - and thought it was very enjoyable.
Consider: "average" by this crowds standards is pretty good.

Seeing Singularity and Old Cellar Dwellar on the shelf in Victoria for $11 sure trumped that Whole Foods sale!

Also available for the smuggling were Cantillon Kriek and Fantome Brise-Bonbons. I also found it unusual to see Brooklyn Brewery up there when its not in WA - is that a Shelton distribution issue too?

Nope. It's a Canada issue. Brooklyn sells their beer to Canada and whichever province buys it, that's who can get it. But it is also crazy expensive due to shipping.

Interesting - i didn't even notice the pricetag as I don't get really excited about their product

If you like Belgian styles, I would recommend picking up something from Sound Brewery; they make a great double, tripel and other Belgian inspired styles. And an excellent DIPA Humulo Nimbus. Bottles available sporadically in the Roosevelt and Downtown stores.
