    AFAIK, hop oils don't get sucked up by the yeast cake. They can stick to yeast that's flocculating (falling out of suspension), which would happen in primary or in secondary.

    Belgian blonde brewed and Deviation starter pitched. Fingers crossed it attenuates well and produces a tasty brew!

    Had fantastic luck with 'The Raisinator', which was a belgian blonde I did that was fermented with a starter created from Beatification dregs and aged on golden raisins.
