Who else is brewing this weekend? Either tomorrow or Saturday I will be brewing 2 batches: Session White IPA, Session Brett Wheat IPA, from 1 overnight mash. 50% Pale Malt, 40% Flaked Wheat, 10% Flaked Oats. First batch gets a substantial dose of Meridian and Cascade hops, then Indian Coriander, Grapefruit Peel, and Orange Peel at FO. OG 1.043, IBUs around 32ish, fermented in mid 80s with WY 3725 Biere de Garde yeast. Should have a lot of citrus going on. Second half gets no boil hops, lots of Chinook, plus Mosaic, Simcoe, and Calypso after the FO for a 45 minute whirlpool, OG 1.042, IBUs around 32ish, fermented in the high 60s with Brett Brux cultured from Elysian's Mortis. Hoping for lots of pine and tropical fruits. Should give me two really sessionable beers in 2 weeks.

    How bout yall?

I'll be busy for the weekend but I'll sing to my 10 gal of barley wine and (porter/stout?) I'm naming him Mud when he's born.

Nothing this weekend. Will be getting ingredients early next week for a 100% Brett IPA and I will also be taking my first shot at a mead with a Cranberry Cyser made with local honey and local cranberry apple cider.

Just bottled my imperial-ish amber with Conan yeast and NZ hops, super pumped to try it soon. I might also be brewing up a modified version of The Mad Fermentationist's 100% Brett IPA in the next few days, probably need to bump up the starter again before that happens though.

saison. Haven't used WL585 before. might get around to a second batch on Sunday but don't think I've got any open fermenters. Need to finish up some cider yeast tests.

    You are an animal!

I'm brewing 10 gallons of something Sunday, but I haven't decided what. I've got some Bug Farm I need to pitch, but I'm not sure what I'd do with the other half of a low hop 'lamebic' batch or what else I could pitch it in. So it's probably going to be a saison of some sort. Would like to get some biere de garde going, but haven't heard from the homebrew shop that my yeast came in.

My berliner didn't tart up enough for my likings (6 months in a carboy using WL's BW blend). I'm going to add a tablespoon or so of lactic acid before I rack to the bottling bucket to give it a little more punch. We'll see!

I'll be brewing up two 1 liter batches. To use to start a couple of lager yeasts that I plan to use next week.

Oh, and I'll be kegging a couple of batches from the last few weeks.
