This whole week was pretty productive:
Cold steeped coffee for the first time
Kegged a Mocha Stout (which looks more like a Mocha Brown Ale)
Transfered a DIPA (DH w/ galaxy)
    Tonight: yeast starter
Tomorrow: brewing a Cream Ale and Saison

Not sure if it will be good, but I am excited to find out.

10 gallons of Belgian Wit planned for tomorrow. Probably going with the classic indian coriander and dry bitter orange peel (unless I can find some quality fresh oranges and a zester asap) and might throw in some chamomile flowers!

Brought this over from the old thread.

Hopefully a Pale Ale with Golden Promise. Dark Munich/Cara Munich. All Amarillo hops. Windsor yeast. Once this is done i have to drink my keezer dry as it will be full! (Not a bad thing) lol

    Cheers!

Watch the chamomille. I added some in the primary as a tea and now the beer has a very faint citrus and high herbal flavor. It is starting to mellow now, but for the first few weeks it was not very good.

I'm going to plop out a Simcoe IPA, gonna have a good bit o' booze to it, so hoping I hit my gravity right.

All simcoe, decent grain bill, going to be pretty close to the juicy Sweetwater IPA recipe. Planning on doing that Sunday after a round of golf with my dad who will be in town.

Also going to probably bottle my Pale ale that I dry hopped around 2 weeks ago, and just pulled back 2 bombers of my Imperial IPA I brewed and dry hopped with Citra a few weeks ago. 8.5 ABV, so it's still a bit green.. will be better in a few weeks.

May not be brewing...I modified my brew pot with a thermometer and stainless steel ball valve and the male coupling is too short (water drips out of the joint between the 3/4 NPT coupling and the valve-I am glad I tested the setup with boiling water prior to brewing!). If I can't find a longer stainless steel replacement I may have to put my brew day off for a week.

Would I get any off flavors by using a brass coupling once (in the event that the local hardware store does not have the ss fitting)?

I'm planning on adding only a 1/2 oz to 10 gallons of wort at flame out. How much did you add?

IMO Brass is fine. I used one for years on my old Keggle before i got a new Pro Grade SS pot.

    Cheers!

Have you used Falconer's Flight before? The IPA will be great; the Kolsch . . . perhaps questionable. The FF blend is so flabby, so blowsy, so over-ripe. I know low-coho is all the rage, but if I wanted to drink peach nectar, I'd drink peach nectar.

10 gallons of imperial porter for a Buffalo Trace Barrel with a few friends... if the first 10 goes well, then probably another 10 later tomorrow.
