Hey all - I'm planning on brewing a hopslam clone tomorrow or Sunday. I'll also be racking my English Barleywine to secondary. Made my starter last night and found it was nice and active this morning.

What are your brewing related activities this weekend?

Been tinkering with another IPA recipe, so may give it a go if time permits. Time to fill another keg with some hoppy goodness to go with a smoked porter, breakfast stout and helles.

I am brewing but it's for a class that I have started teaching in East Longmeadow, MA. I have a BYO Class returning tomorrow afternoon to bottle their Wheat Ale and I will be teaching an Intro to Homebrewing class that night to a group of people and I'll be brewing a Cream Ale to show them the process.

As for "homebrewing" I have a Cream Ale that's been in primary for a week so I'll be kegging it in 2 weeks and then brewing a Milk Stout that I'm toying with for a possible Thanksgiving brew. Going to transfer the Milk stout onto some cranberries to see how they come through as maybe a good desert type beer after a Thanksgiving meal.

Brewing 20 gallons of Flander's Red to rack into a 15 gallon cabernet barrel. I've been putting off this brew forever, because a club member wanted to brew with me, but after multiple flake outs on their part, its getting brewed this weekend no matter what.

Also bottling a double decocted Bavarian Hefewizen for my wife's birthday.

    Brewing an APA tomorrow.

    4lbs Maris Otter
    3lbs Pilsen
    2lbs Vienna
    .5lb Crystal 10L
    Gypsum added to Strike Water
Mash at 152 for 60 mins
    Double Batch Sparge

    .75 oz Warrior @ 60
    .25 oz Amarillo @ 20
    .25 oz Simcoe @ 20
    .25 oz Amarillo @ 15
    .25 oz Simcoe @ 15
    Irish Moss @ 15
    .25 oz Amarillo @ 10
    .25 oz Simcoe @ 10
    .25 oz Amarillo @ 5
    .25 oz Simcoe @ 5
    .25 oz Citra @ 5
    .50 oz Amarillo @ KO
    .50 oz Simcoe @ KO
    .25 oz Citra @ KO
    .50 oz Amarillo DH
    .50 oz Simcoe DH
    .5 oz Citra DH

WLP 007 - Starter currently cold crashing

Calculated IBUs will be high but I find when I hop burst, those IBUs really dont seem to contribute much to the bitterness so I am trying to go roughly 1:1 BU:GU with the 60 min addition and ignoring the later additions contributions.

I'm under pitching and I know it. I tossed two slants of WLP001 into a 2000ml starter and hoping for the best (it's fermenting like crazy right now and seeping out of my e-flask). Ideally, I would have stepped up a starter several times (3-4?), but I failed to get the process started early enough this week. Hoping for the best!

10 Gallons of Belgian Wit and 5.5 gallons of imperial stout being brewed tomorrow. Both batches brewed simultaneously via BIAB in 2 separate 15 gallon kettles. Hoping to have the day done in 6 hours including cleanup but we will see. Its only our second time brewing two batches at once and these particular two recipes are a little more involved. Also going to be transferring the 1.098 OG imperial stout onto a yeast cake from a 1.072 OG DIPA which will be my first yeast reusing experience Teaching a friend how to brew as well so I'm going to do my best to concentrate with my attention being pulled in so many directions.
