Or something with very high alcohol content will get you extraction.

Brewed a Hefeweizen last night. Planned on doing it all grain but for some reason it got cold and windy in North Texas yesterday. So I went back to the basics and did it on the stovetop.

    6lbs LME Wheat
    1lb. DME wheat
    1oz Hallertau
    Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan

I'm hoping to do the same beer on Sunday after I get home from the golf course. It will depend on what time I get home and how stiff I am.

A munich helles, or possibly a dortmunder, depending on how much munich and hallertaur I have in stock. I've got some of that WLP 860 helles yeast that I'm eager to put to work.

What's that I hear? An IPA? Not 10 gallons of a Belgian beer? :astonished:

Bottling a Munich Dunkel today and tomorrow I am brewing a Ska Mexican Logger clone from Can You Brew It.

Going to fly sparge for my first time and I am using a new mash tun with SS valve and SS false bottom.

Do you mind posting your Imperial Pils recipe? I'm interested for comparison. Is it your own? I have one planned for next month.

That would probably be very tasty, .rar KBS. A 14.5% barleywine does a good job...

Just finished up the 1943 Whitbread Oat Mild.

Then I pulled the first pint off of an ESB that was a partial mash brewed with Maris Otter LME which was a Christmas gift, and it is damn tasty...which makes me happy since I had a couple of sub-par beers prior to this one.

blew out my achilles playing hoops ~4 weeks ago, so i've been shut down. now i'm at least in the walking boot, so i'm gonna gimp around and brew something...anything...i don't even care! just stoked to get back on the horse! i had a buddy suggest my first batch back be called 'he used to have hops'. harsh, but hilarious.
