Who's brewing this weekend? 9/20/14

Got my hefe bottled up yesterday, going to throw some charred bourbon soaked white oak chunks in my impy yam/molasses/spice ale today.

 

IIPA for me, at the low edge (1072 OG - 72 IBUs) - Total vol 5,5 gals .

6,3 kg pilsen malt
300 g crystal 40
300 g carapils
300 g corn sugar

35 g Nugget 12 AA for 90 min - 20 g Cascade 7 AA for 45 min - 20 g Cascade for 30 min - 50g Saaz 4 AA for 3 min.
50 g Saaz 4 AA dry hop for 7 days.

S0ft water . Mash 154 F for 90 min - boil 90 min - S-05 Yeast(2 packs) - Pitch 64 F - Ferment at 68 F .

Fining : Polyclar 5 gs 3 days at 38 F

Did a "fresh / wet hop" harvest all grain ale last night.....just picked my meager first year harvest of Cascade and Zeus hops and into the brew kettle they went last night.....smelled delish!

Yeast bubbling away this morning at 5:30 so all is looking good!
