I missed this post somehow. I brewed up a Vienna Lager and a couple of Saisons this weekend. I split the Saison and pitched yeast from a Stillwater Saison into one and a blend of Farmhouse yeast and Brett into the other that a friend gave me. I was hoping for a third split using the Vapeur dregs, but I wasn't comfortable with the starter I made. I plan to plate the dregs to see if I can isolate the yeast and then try again in a few weeks.

I brewed my RIS today. Did my first overnight mash and turned out pretty good. Mashed in around 10pm last night @155 and wrapped in electric blanket and a heavy hunting jacket of mine. Got up at 6am and the temp was still 152 so I was quite pleased. Ended up having to add about 1# of DME to hit my # but all in all it was a pretty smooth brew day. I do know now though that 24# of grain in my 10gal cooler is pushing the limits!

I was waiting on Friday morning for this thread to start...it was brew day around the house so I went for a red ipa with British Ale yeast. I've never used it before, but wanted to experiment a little. We'll see how it turns out.

Brewed an Alt this past Friday. First time brewing in almost 8 months and realized how much I missed brewing. Hit gravity and blew an airlock so I would say it was a successful brew session.
