Kegged a Maibock on Friday and brewed a Bo Pils today. Very happy with the bock!

Brewed an IPA with Golden Promise (I am addicted to this malt) and a bit of Golden Naked Oats, and then just Galaxy late and will dry hop with galaxy, on pitched on a Conan yeast cake.

Also bottled an IPA kinda thingy that I had taken the wort from a alt, and added amarillo and cascade fermented with Conan.

Will probably pitch one more on these yeast cake, maybe a little hopped cream ale thingy with with a bunch of pils or golden promise and a bit of oats and then some type of hops, and probably pitch Belgian yeast on the other half of the wort. If you can't tell I love splitting wort into 2.5 gallons and fermenting differently.

No brewing this weekend, but moved my Younger clone to keg and started its 2nd (of 4) dry hops.

Also sampled my 25 month old kriek and it finally turned the corner and soured up - bottle that in a few months!

I made this one today. Not super-familiar with the style, but it sure was easy. One malt, one hop, some brown sugar and WLP530.

EDIT: May have used the wrong yeast with this one. Should have used WLP500.

BTW, is anyone having problems with Chrome not displaying the toolbar correctly?

Despite another round of snow, I managed to brew the Galaxy DIPA(extra?) IPA and help my friend with his hefe kit.

I did come up just a little low on my OG, but that's typical for big beers, I tend to prefer IPAs in the 7% range anyway so slipping just under 8% didn't seem worth adding some dme.

I also bottled the remains of my Calypso saison over Allagash dregs. The dregs had been sitting in a "starter" from another saison for 3 months, which I poored into a glass before swirling up the dregs. I was shocked at how good the beer was. Best saison I've brewed, even with just that short amount of time with brett.

Finally I racked a Berliner Weiss into a keg, I force carbed about 16 ounces that wouldn't fit in the keg and am very excited for the rest to carb up.

Thumbs up on the Golden Promise, a truely awesome malt.

Where did you get the GNO? I used them a couple years ago and haven't seen them since.

Brewed up 6 gallons of a La Chouffe clone yesterday, first brew since November. Heated everything up with a coil of stainless steel tubing that I ran steam through.

Did you generate the steam with a pressure cooker? I've seen pressure cooker set ups described before. There was one guy who was laughed off the board here maybe a year ago exploring the idea, but he wasn't exactly very friendly. It does seem like a good way to get exact temps, especially for a complicated step mash if you can safely and reliably control the process. I can see it being more trouble than it's worth though as well.

I'm lucky, I just tapped off of a steam line at work. I work in a steam plant and they have a lot to spare.

Yesterday I ended an 8-month brewing hiatus brought on by new job, holidays, laziness, etc. I went with a pretty generic IPA (5 gallon batch; OG 1.054) hopped with Amarillo and Apollo. I will definitely be dry-hopping it in 10 days or so; can't wait to have an IPA on tap again!

I am addicted to this malt. It is outrageoulsy tasty. I will pretty much be using it in anything American or English for awhile I think.

And I got the GNO in Chicago, I got them at a home brew store Brew and Grow. Just threw my dry hops in the brew and will bottle in 5-7 days.

I was hoping there was one of the "big" online site with it. I really liked the couple of pounds that I had. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I even use GP in Belgians, and it works great to my tastes, if a bit untraditional.

I was going to brew a hoppy Hefe this weekend but I think now I am going to go for a Scottish Ale with some more GP.
