I plan to brew the Averagely Perfect American Stout and a Helles Lager. We might be getting a little snow but that's ok.

    Anyone else?

A Bitter. Borderline between Ordinary and Special in BJCP terms.
(No need to tell me that the distinction is artificial. I like it anyway.)

First time ever FWHing. Will be making a golden ale and moving a significant Tettnang late addition early. It's time to test the science vs the myths.

Brewed a Rye Flanders Red this morning with ECY Bug County. I hope ECY comes out with a bug county cologne.

Was hoping to toss into a double batch, but decided golf and smoking on the grill was worth a missed batch.

Gonna brew a "house IPA" for the taps soon enough for the spring ( hopefully ).

Chinook, Simcoe, Columbus, EKG, and Ahtanum.. Should be a tasty, tasty batch.

Wish my C02 hop extract was here so I could really play around. Gonna have around 70 IBU, 8 SRM, 1.070, 1.009 gravities.

Gonna pitch it on a WY 1217-PC cake from a blonde. Should take off. That 1217 took like 2-3 days to finish a 1.049 blonde.

Chilling an IPA as I type. Bittered with Horizon, flavored with 2 Chinook hop additions, and finally, for aroma... Zythos. Using a starter of White Labs WLPoo1, California yeast to ferment. Cheers!!

Being 6 hrs ahead of the OP, I was already home bottling two batches when this was posted (an English pale ale and a Belgian IPA). Then I brewed an English IPA on Saturday, using the top-cropped yeast from the pale ale (WLP-022 Essex Ale Yeast).

On Friday I'll brew an American Dark Mild for the first time. Basically a traditional dark mild with some late American hopping (Ahtanum, Simcoe, and Willamette), might do a small dry hop too but we'll see. I already know I'm ruining a style but it's my beer and I can do whatever I want to it, and it's going to be good.

On Friday I brewed a hopped up Amber. 100% Amarillo hops pitched with US05 for five gallons and 34/70 for five gallons.

Did you use 2013 Amarillo crop? If so, I'm interested in hearing what you think of them. I brewed a 100% 2013 Amarillo PA in early Jan. It's been on tap for about 3 weeks now, almost finished, here's my impressions of them. First week on tap: had strong orangy, tangerine, peach with some noticeable cattiness.
Second week on tap: most of the cattiness disappeared, orange and tangerine flavors dominated
Third week on tap: orange/tangerine notes are diminishing, peachy notes are on the forefront now and the cattiness is more apparent.
Fourth week today: same as third week, expecting it to kick any glass now.

Overall I think it's a good crop this year, they don't seem to be as intense as the 2012 crop. My 2013's have an alpha of 8.7%, which is a tad lower than the 2012's at 10%, so I guess that's expected.

Has anyone else brewed with the 2013 Amarillo Crop yet?

Just finished up the saison base for a raspberry beer. Don't have to be in until 4 tomorrow, so I'm gonna knock out an extract, hop-bursted APA before work.
