Seriously, why can't I find a good bottle shop in the Petoskey area? I stopped at Toski Sands and they have next to nothing in there. I'm on vacation right now and I can't find one good shop around here. I can throw a rock in any direction and break a bottle of wine but I can't hardly find any beer besides BMC. Anyone got any suggestions?

On a side note, I stopped at Mackinaw Trail Brewing (or better known as Mackinaw Trail Winery ) and picked up two large bottles of their bourbon barrel aged Molasses Stout. The sample I had there was as good as any bba stout I've ever had so I'm looking forward to one of those bottle tonight.

I know you said you were looking for bottle shops, but have you checked out Beard's Brewing in Petoskey? Great guys and really decent beer. Also Tap 30 usually has a great tap list. Scooby's Bottle Shop has a decent selection if you are just looking to pick up some beer to drink on vacation. Also try the Grain Train Food Coop. They usually have the latest releases from Shorts. I've been told there is a fairly good bottle shop down in Boyne City, but never been down there to pick up beer.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try checking out some of these places tomorrow.

Toski used to have a pretty decent selection. Pretty sure The Grain Train probably won't show up on a BA search, but I would think that Scooby's would.
