I'd buy the shit out of the lobe if it was still in the teardrop bottels(reminds me on my grandpa).

I guess we're going to disagree on what is average. Best Brown, Oberon and Amber, especially Amber, are above average. The others that you rated as average are beers I haven't had, so I can't speak to those. But this just proves that tastes vary so don't worry about what someone else thinks about what you like. Enjoy what you enjoy.

Sorry you can't get Michelob where you live. It's a very good, well-brewed beer Sorry I actually taste macro lagers and decide for myself if I like them or not rather than just automatically hating everything macro.

With the exception of Mercury, Venus, and Mars I find all pretty great

None of the beers I've tried, even black note, stand out as exceptional. They all taste pretty average based on other breweries' offers

Hey you take that back about Drie Fonteinen! Say whatever you want about FFF though

All of Bell's beers are average. Maybe Oberon is better than the normal summer ale swill. Their IPAs are average at best. I'm sorry two hearted fans it's just not that great anymore. Their stouts are mostly misses. Don't even mention Expedition. It's like drinking soy sauce mixed with motor oil.

Can we please stick to the topic and try to limit the slander/personal attacks?

FTR...I haven't had Third Coast, Java Stout, Cherry Stout, Kalamazoo Stout, or Porter. I will seek them out in the next 2 weeks and report back.

And I swear I wouldn't be able to distinguish Oberon from 312 in a blind taste test. But for the sake of pacifying those of you that swear by it, I will do this too and report back on that as well.

    Cheers!

Call me crazy, but in terms of style...I would say Oberon is world class. I mean how much better can you get with that style

A brewery produces both great and average beers?

    Impossible! :grimacing:

One is welcome to hold any number of opinions, personal preferences. It is, however, hard to defend broad statements about whether a beer is objectively 'good' or not -- particularly without clarifying your dislike. If you choose to take a stand, I wouldn't advertise the fact you have an objectively poor palate (unexperienced?). Oberon and 312 are different beers. I don't particularly love either, but it should be very easy to tell them apart.

How are they different? Both are American Pale Wheat Ales.

Oberon..45$ a case for a light wheat ale.. really average or less than average. The rest are not as bad.

Really? This is thread worthy? You're not claiming they make World Class vs. Bad beers. They're making, as you say, "World Class" and "Average at best" and you are bitching about it? I don't get it.
