    Buy local, drink local.

A lot of these posts hit it on the head, but part of it for me is supporting local small business. Not to mention the large variety of fresh local beer. It adds an extra level of choices looking at imports when I am already overwhelmed with choice as it is. Always nice to have the option, I do love some imports, and certain ones I will seek out.

Crap! I meant top 20, I added the "5" by accident.

I'm going to have to consider that a Freudian slip.

Why doesn't Korbinian from Weihenstaphener get more love?

I gotta say, I love my pint sized cans of konig pils or bitburger sold right down the road from me. It's nice to have a balanced quality beer once in a while instead of all of the hopped up beers that i'm so used to.

There have been some points made about cost in here, which does kind of surprise me, as most German beers available in six-packs go for $8-9. I think Augustiner tops them out at around $11, which is in line with plenty of domestic options. Singles from Schneider, Andechs, Schlenkerla, etc. cost more per oz., but I sort of took that to be a product of the larger bottle size, same as it is here. Maybe I'm just lucky.
