Why do you drink beer?

It's fascinating. It taste great (sometimes,) it's fun, it shows someone's true colors and it's history is staggering if you actually get into it. Frankly, beer is the story of man. And I find that to be important.

 

It's a tough one. Can't easily decide.
Maybe this:
1. Taste
2. Thrill of finding new beers
3. Why wouldn't you drink beer? It's simply great!

 

Something hit me while I was pouring my coffee this morning. So I asked her..."what the hell was that for?"

Just kidding.....what hit me was my early morning coffee and why I drink it. I like the taste and prefer generally good coffee. I like it bold and I like it strong. But the reason I drink it is for the caffeine. I only have coffee twice per day and the first one is a wake up. It kick starts me. The second cup is just that enjoyment of an early afternoon relax time where I have a cup of coffee thing. It gives me a little buzz so to speak...a little boost and a caffeine kick. For a brief moment I feel good. With coffee it's very brief...minutes. Very slight but it's there. But caffeine free coffee is something I've tried and I can't do it. Worthless for me. Like soda. I haven't had a juice or any kind of soda, not even diet in years. I can't even remember how many. Regular soda since my 20's? Diet soda? ....too far back to remember. So I don't do the "Just taste thing." Otherwise I'be be drinking many things.

So it hit me this morning that my beer love is pretty much the same as my coffee other than I drink more of it and I prefer a bit more taste from my beer than I require from my coffee. But very similar reasoning. I would suspect it is similar for others.

So that's why my answer above makes sense to me. Buzz and taste are one for me. They share a pretty equal spot. If it was only taste I could drink many different beverages. If it was just buzz I could drink anything with alcohol.
So once again

1. taste,buzz

 

If you have to ask the question the answers don't really matter

 

Taste.
To socialize with friends.
Buzz, then really socialize with friends.

 

You nailed it.

 

Because the jerks at Kool-Aide just don't make adult beverages...despite an aggressive letter writing campaign.
