Why do you drink beer?

I Thirst!

 

I love the way that beer has created a way to bring people together from around the country and world into a community that respects and appreciates (most of the time) the opinions and views of others who enjoy the same hobby that they do.

So much so that many people on here choose to send beer to complete strangers just to bless them with the chance to try something that they have never had and may never have the chance to have again, at times even asking nothing in return (thank you to those of you who have done this exact thing for me).

There are few other things (none of which I can think of) that create a community like beer has created and continues to expand.

Honestly, it's because it tastes so good.

Alcohol was never my drug of choice, because 1. it never tasted good enough to "crave" (think light lagers or fruity drinks) and 2. I can't tolerate a lot of it (makes me dizzy and want to barf = no fun for anyone). I just got into craft beer about 2 yrs. ago and love trying new brews. If it didn't have alcohol in it, I wouldn't care!

 

Mainly to help me forget the issues of the day...

 

I don't like soda.

 

1. Its delicious!!
2. The variety and experimentation.
3. The going back to tried and true phenominal beers.
4. The buzz

 

The VOICES tell me to!

 

Because I can...and I love it.

Buzz and Taste. Both are equally important to me.

I was a binge drinker for nearly 10 years before I got into craft. Over these past couple of years, I've cut back on drinking and don't get obliterated as much as I used to. However, old habits die hard.

 

Love being able to talk to a BA that comes into my store about my passion for beer and just shoot the shit about whatever new releases. As cool as grabbing something you want off a shelf to buy is cool, being able to order it yourself and see it come in is even cooler. Then getting to put it into hands of BAs, even better.

Beer is awesome.
