Last time I drank a PBR was at Norfolk,VA (NB) enlisted club in the late 1970, I think it was 40 cents a can.:grinning: plus tip.
Still I did drink Miller part of the early 1970's. had to have something to chase down the booze.

For an adjunct it's not that bad. Had a few last night at a Danzig concert--$4:00 a 16oz can.

I've never had it before, so I'll buy it and try it out someday.

If had spent a week in the desert and there was LITERALLY nothing else to drink except PBR, Corona, Falstaff, Mich Ultra and tequila. I would rather squeeze the guts out of bugs or lick the sweat off an armadillo. But I don't have strong feelings either way.

I drank PBR when I became old enough to drink. I also drank RW&B at the same time. Who remembers that one? Coincidentally, that was when I became wise enough to begin learning from my mistakes.

ya, it is good for chasing whiskey too. I forgot about that. In fact, here in Philadelphia, they have what they call the citywide special. Which is a shot of brown (well liquor, nothing good) and a pounder of PBR for $2. It's good to have that in your back pocket if money gets tight.

Yes. This too. my dad and his hunting buddies. Drinking this or busch with a dead buck or two on the roof of the bronco II, blood running down the side of the truck. This shit touches my soul.

    I don't drink it.

Truthfully, it is less horrible than most AALs and I might drink it if it were not so damn hip to drink these days.

My wife and I were at a restaurant last week that serves a limited craft menu. We saw a table full of hipster dudes drinking PBR pounders. The sad part was that they paid about a buck less per beer than I did for quality stuff. To me, that's nuts!

I rarely drink it but when I do, it's because it was my dad's favorite beer.

It's cheap, it's ubiquitous, it's better (to my palate anyway) than similar alternatives, and it's my body I do what I want.

I don't understand why PBR became thee hipster beer.
    Old school label, check.
    Red, white and blue, check.
    Cheap, check.
    Seems anti-elitist, check.

    I guess that's the formula.

Because I like to switch back and forth between say a PBR and some craft offering. Just got back from the Ocean today (Dillion's Beach,CA) rented a house with about 14 people, had a Stone mixed pack and PBR tall boys. Had a great time drinking PBR and "shooting the shit" with family and friends. Also PBR just tastes right with a pack of Marbolo Reds and at 1am in the morning eating pancakes lol.

I'll drink it if a friend offers me one, but I prefer to boil bratwurst with it before throwing them on the grill.

in 2003 when I was in college, we could get a keg of it for $32. This was in Fairfield county Connecticut, not exactly a cheap locale. Need I say anymore?
