I don't. Even when I drank solely to get drunk, adjunct lagers always tasted like shit to me. Now that I'm a beer geek, I'm even less likely to since it's like watching Ghost Hunters after being exposed to Breaking Bad, Deadwood, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Mad Men, Firefly, etc. If I want a cheap drunk, I'll go for an Evan Williams Green or Black since they're only around $10 for a fifth and I'd rather drink 6-10oz of shitty liquid than 70-100+.

Because it's more American than 5 Hour Energy.

i drink it because its dirt cheap and drinkable. i can have a bunch of these during the week and be able to save my good stuff for random days during the week with a good meal, or the weekend binge. and because i wear skinny jeans.

I chose the "cheap" option. $8.99 for 18 should qualify, but I find it to be pretty decent for an AAL, which I periodically drink when I want to re-visit my college years. In college Bud Light was my "treat" (how lame?), with Bush Light and Beast Light being the usual suspects. What the hell was I thinking? Good times though.

i dont find it any better tasting than the majority of the other cheap adjunct lagers. I dont drink either of them often but i think i like milwaukees best and bud ice more than pbr

I think it's much better than other adjuncts. I think it has flavor.

I don't usually drink PBR, but when I do it is because it is basically free.

I drink it because Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper at his best) drank it in the movie Blue Velvet. That was also the point that I quit drinking Heiniken.

I drink pbr cause i actually prefer the taste to over anything else. I will happily drink lone star and pbr, but i will pass them up for a coors original!

I think PBR has an enjoyable taste, but it's a mild one. If it's dirt cheap as seems to be the case in the US, and all-malt pale lagers are priced unfavorably, I can see why people would choose it and drink it. If Budweiser or MGD was cheaper than Pabst I'd view those as the more sensible options however, since you wont get much of a difference in taste when they are straight out of the fridge, and the difference in taste when they warm up isn't worth a premium, in my opinion.

Don't drink it. As far as light american lagers go, I think it's one of the worst. Give me a Coors or Bud over it any day. I find the balance to be too far into sweet nothingness with no balance.

I have not consumed a PBR since I graduate from college (which was a very long time ago). PBR was the preferred beer of the fraternities and I shudder to think about how many barrels of PBR I drank during my college years. I vowed to never drink PBR once I graduated.

On a related matter, below is something I posted before:

“I am not a regular consumer of AAL beers but my list of inexpensive beers would be:

    1. Genny Bock

    2. Schlitz 1960s Formula

    3. Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale (yes, it is a lager)

    4. Yuengling Lager

    5. Shiner Bock”

    Cheers!
