OP i really do get what you are saying...i despise BMC and i know if they had it their way, there would not be any craft breweries at all...they want the highest profit margin so they can continue to have their 12 yachts(stark contrast to every hard working craft brewer((not to say that there arent good brewers at inbev))..ive wrestled with the idea of not having any beers brewed by companies under the bmc umbrella, but the grey line that is goose island is always the one brewery i still purchase...i liked bourbon county before the purchase and i still dont know what the right answer is as far as boycotting it(which ive done with blue point)

this is obviously false. oppose what you want, but do a little research. BCBS production has expanded and continues to expand. it takes a whole lot of space and time to make bourbon barrel aged beer you know.

As far as I know according to interviews with GI Brewers, AB-InBev hasnt really messed with GI. Only downside they said is that AB scolds them for not buying enough of this or not using enough of that. oh and they also bought them a nice new barrel warehouse. Down with ab-inbev! they're making a good craft brewery better. shame on them.

They are brewing 312 in a NY Budweiser plant. Does that count as messing with them?

I support the independent brewer who brews beer for me, and not in the name of the mighty dollar. Goose Island proved it was more about the dollar bills, so they can keep their stout to themselves. If ever buy another, it will be traded off. I might not even do that. Founders makes a stout or 2 that appeals to my tastebuds more anyway. And for you BAs that support BMC/InBev, you are a part of the problem, not part of the solution. If you deny that fact, you are only lying to yourself.

Ah good call, just pulled it from a random website and they made it seem like it was singles, but was most likely a 4-pack. Nevertheless, I can think of better ways to allocate my cash.

Agreed. But the post I replied to said that they haven't messed with GI. That is simply untrue and I was pointing out one example.

Dude, it's one of the best beers on the f***ing planet. With all due respect, get over it and just try the damn beer. You're a craft beer enthusiast, and any craft beer enthusiast worth his/her salt needs to have this feather in his/her cap.

A bit out of context. Since becoming aware of this beer. I have seen it extremely limited. Yes, I am sure it is more readily available than it initially was, but its still by all intents and purposes the definition of limited. I am sure intentionally done this way. Expand, some, but leave the people wanting it so that we don't get too much exposure. Eventually, within the next few years, AB will have this beer in every grocery store chain in your neighborhood. Then shall we call it pedestrian? Or will it be the glorious beer it once is/was?

    Cheers!!!!!!
Supporting any of AB/InBev's "craft" beers is making it more difficult for an independent brewer to survive. By supporting AB/InBev you are eventually going to limit your own choices and access to great beers.

Well, they come in 4 packs, but you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least try this beer once. How can you allocate your cash better than one of the best barrel aged stouts in the world? I'd suggest you try before you judge.

So do you also hate all the craft brewers that produce limited and allocated beers? According to your thinking, Toppling Goliath must be a monster, by only releasing 400 bottles of KBBS. Damn you Toppling Goliath and your insatiable greed.

Seriously, do you think bourbon barrels just grow on trees, so that AB can barrel as much as they want, and also reduce the time the beer ages, so that "every grocery store" can have the beer?

again, you are simply wrong. being sure that a beer difficult to produce in bulk is "intentionally limited" is dumb. go read more.

edit: always nice to be in a thread where there's stupid on both sides of the argument.
