Thanks for the shout out. Our first real hoppy beer comes out next week, and that was after brewing 15 session beers with modest to low hoping.

I would "like" your comment, except that is a bit discouraging for my planned future endeavors...
Thanks for the input though Chris! I've never had Notch, but I've heard great things. Next time I'm out East...

“Our first real hoppy beer comes out next week …” What took you so long!?! I kid! I kid!

Are there any plans for Notch to expand distribution? I live in PA and I would love to be able to buy your beers.

    Cheers!

I just tries Cismontane's Holy Jim Falls XPA, and thought it was a really drinkable and hoppy pale ale at 4.5%.

Chainbreaker White IPA from Deschutes may be a good solution for you.

Hill Farmstead brewed a beer called Walden last year with John from the Alchemist. Sometimes I wish people would stop freaking out over that damn Heady Topper so they could bring that recipe over there and can it. A 6-pack of Walden pounders would easily be the best American session beer of all time. N

I get this, biggest issue I have is I will typically drink a few more low ABV beers at a time(hence the session), thus costing me more money. Great for the breweries, bad for my bank acct. If lower ABV doesnt equal a lower price then its higher ABV counterparts, Im not buying. Lag. Daytime IPA and Sucks are both 9.99 here. Daytime is a great beer, but Im not going pay that price.

Surly seem to do it right, Fury(6%) is typically 9.99, while Bitter Brewer(4%) is 8.49.

I look forward to trying the new one, but please brew more of the Polotmavy as well.

Ruination is a good session ale.

I wish there were more bitters and milds as well.

The "session" IPA's I've had (all-Day IPA, Daytime IPA, Levitation Ale), I've hated them all.
