Why Your Pint is Getting Weaker

    Had the same experience when I was there. Found that pubs were serving mostly traditional low abv British pales/bitters.

    The bartenders were not wrong – the beer tax is higher on stronger beers – but the real reason is that most UK drinkers want a weaker beer, so that they can enjoy many pints of it in the pub (or visit many pubs).

    Wee heavy was never a style that was widely served on tap in Scotland. It was almost always bottled.

    We recently released our first “Aussie Mid Ale”. Was a collab with a great Aussie friend here in town. It’s actually sold incredibly well.

    It’s called Bin Chicken

    It’s essentially and English Ordinary Bitter but we hopped it with nothing but Anchovy.

    We’ll definitely be brewing it again in a few months. People are amazed by how much flavor it has for 3.8%
