I'll just drink it on tap then if it looks like a shit show. Too many good beers to stand around and waste precious drinking time.

That early? What was the bottle count on PB Skillet?

I hope to be surprised. I'm thinking 10-11 honestly. People need to keep in mind yes it's a holiday weekend. But it's Sunday. Everything closed esrly. . Everyone hungover from Saturday. No booze till noon.

My gut says they reduced the bottle limit cause they know people will shuffle in.

Regardless. It'll be on tap. The traders can stay away cause not much from burial or wicked trade high.

Weather looks like cloudy and cooler than expected so should be fun.

To the tourist- go to wicked late as heck or early otherwise you'll wait in a line to get in. To wait in a line to wait for a buzzer to wait for a table.

Thanks for the tips! We have a few tours scheduled (Burial and Funkatorium) on Friday, hiking all day Saturday and Sunday is pretty wide open. I have a feeling my fiance will want to come back sooner rather than later.

It's technically free, but they tell you a suggested "tip" when you order. 2 plates and a dessert was like 30 bucks for me last time. Salt and smoke is awesome though and well worth it.

While advice is good, its all speculation. As I have said before. Whatever time you think you need to arrive to a beer release, arrive an hour earlier.

I think BA Skillet at 2 pp should trade pretty darn high, at least initially. But I hope you're right, because I'll be in the camp of trying to trade for one.

Hahaha I am gonna make both a master Asheville beer week thread when I get home, as well as one for BA Skillet.

Semi-related: Is WW doing Golden Angel again this year? I know they already said they had AoD in barrels again but I can't recall hearing anything about Golden or White this year.

Yeah pissed they didn't have golden again for Memorial Day.

And there simply won't be a line worth standing in early for batch 1000.

And regardless at two pp for ba skillet. It still won't demand a trade like what people want to think. Buy it to drink or share with others. Bottle count doesn't mean shit. Pb skillet wasn't a shit show and wasn't a highly sought release.

Regardless. Should be a fun weekend in the mtns. Good beer and let's hope for equally nice weather to enjoy the patios with a brew and some new and old friends.

I saw some pretty significant trade offers for PB Skillet, not really sure what your logic is for not thinking it will demand much, but again, I certainly hope that is indeed the case. I'm not saying it will be some uber-whale, but I do think that anyone wanting bottles should not sleep on getting there because I think it will be popular.

Anyone grab that Cerise Morte? Very tasty but damn $20 a bottle was a hard sell. Closest thing to JK's MvB I have ever had.

So, how about the Batch 1000 release? Thoughts on the beer and will there be bottles available tomorrow?
