Wicked Weed Batch 1000

I really like it. Oaky, bourbon, maybe slightly better than Dark Arts. And Freak Day was worth the trip itself. Such a good time.

 

Should be, they were running a little low out front but who knows if thats all they have. No on is buying the full allotment. $260 is a expensive bill.

 

$10 a 375mL bottle. Looked like they had 15-20 cases on the floor. No word if they had more or of any will hit distro.

Also are you comparing B 1000 to dark arts as a stout? It's a "dark ale" care to further explain the beer? I'll probably get a pour of it downstairs today before buying any bottles just wanting to know more description first lol

 

I meant Dark Age. Stupid phones. Batch 1000 is very reminescent of a stout rather than something like an old ale.

 

@c64person good to know. Will probably pick up some bottles. Saw some going 1:1 for wide awake. So if I don't like it at least it has some trade value at least. You or anyone else know if they still have bottles of the Morte?

 

I would think so, but not sure. Wont be able to check until they open today.

Well... Damn. Peoples abilties to sit in line for 2 bottles is amazing. At least 100 people here at Burial with 3 hours before the release.

 

Appreciate the heads up. Will skip that shit show I guess. Come back later in the day to drink it on tap instead.

 

186 total wristbands for today. Probably 110-125 in line right now +/- 20 people at Vortex in cars and whatnot.

This is a great beer. Sounds like a beer made to empty the adjunct bin.

But I'll be damned if it's not really really good. Tons of that oaky bourbon like you see in dark age.

A bit smoother than dark age, has some good fruity notes.

For those who saw star anise and said nope, I don't get much. I like this.

 

I agree, I wish I had purchased more Batch 1000. Surprise tasty beer of the weekend.

 

Does anyone know if morte is still available whether it be draft or bottle?

 

Probably on draft at the very least. Not sure of bottles. Could call and ask or see if online is updated.
