Wicked Weed Batch 1000

At the pub now. Plenty of bottles.

 

I tried a Batch 1000 last night and really liked it. Lots of dark fruit sweetness that blended very well with the bourbon barrel treatment. I landed 2 in a trade and would not mind having a few more. It's a very unique beer and one of my favorites so far from WW that I've had a chance to try.

 

Did this ever hit distro?

 

Not that I know of... I wish it did or does, because I wouldn't mind picking more up.

 

Don't think it hit distro from what they said at funkatorium. Never saw bottles locally or online. Haven't seen it in Atlanta.

Had another last night and so mad I didn't get more.

 

I have 3 left. They are still at the brewpub. Doubt any will go out to distro., Could be wrong. Also the Morte sold out the other weekend when golden angel released.

 

I was disappointed when I was back in town last week and cerise morte sold out likely due to the mass crowd for golden angel, oh well haha just beer. Plenty of good beer to be had. Brought a bottle of Batch 1000 though!

I was really surprised golden angel wasn't on tap when I was there the day after the release. Red Angel last year lasted at least a week on tap at the funkatorium, it was the last beer I had in AVL before moving...but then the news came out about the bottles not being ready yet....uh oh.

Hopefully Wicked Weed holds on to wild beers a little longer in the future before releasing them. I was surprised seeing how soon most of the bottling dates in the funkatorium bottles were for other beers. Huge risk releasing wild beers that early.

 

They took it off because it was off lol. The bottles were off too. They offered full refunds.

 

The keg we had wasn't off (sounds like a lot of what people had was though unfortunately). Wicked Weed has been running out of the Angel's on tap the day of release for the last three releases.
