Need some help identifying a likely bottle date for the following WW Beers. I acquired the beers while in Charlotte in May 2014. Unfortunately, these bottle were pre bottle dating. - Serenity - Black Angel - Genesis - Royal Cache I appreciate the help. thanks.
I cannot confirm but a quick google search uncovered; Serenity - Bottle #1 released 3/1/2014 Black Angel - Bottle #2 released 3/22/2014 Genesis - released 4/26/14 Royal Cache (Indulgence) - released 3/29/2014 Royal Cache (Amorous) - released 4/5/2014 Royal Cache (Passiflora Blanc) - released 5/25/2014 I know it's not bottle date but hopefully this helps narrow your scope a little bit. All will develop with age since they're sours/wild beers. No worries! Hard to say because they've bottled a lot of those multiple times. Enjoy!
Do any of the bottles have plain gold caps or are they all the WW logo? Which Royal Cache beer is it? There are about 10 in that series so far.
All the bottles have the plain gold caps. The Royal Cache is the Amorous one. I don't believe there is any year print on the label. I would need to double check and see if the bottle itself is printed with anything. Appreciate the help. Thank you
If they are the gold caps then they are the first batches of each respective one. I would say that the release dates given above by @TomCat11 are going to be about as close of a reference point as you're going to get without getting some other information directly from the brewers at Wicked Weed. I would say they were likely bottled a few weeks prior to each release date.
Agreed. I still have a couple gold caps (I think just Black Angel and Serenity). They switched over to logo'd WW caps before a second bottling of any of those.
I have a few gold cap Black Angels and one Genesis I think. Probably should pop one soon and see how they're tasting.
