I know this is probably way too late to do any good, but it was a last resort kind of thing.

I have a friend who will be stopping at Wicked Weed tomorrow and is willing to bring something back. The Funkatorium texted me a picture of the list of bottles available there, but the brewpub still hasn't returned a call after I left my number this morning.

Anyway, I was wondering, if anyone happens to be browsing BA while at the brewpub, or plans on a late run there, if there was any way to let me know what bottles/cans are available for purchase, I'd be superlatively grateful! Or, if you can direct me to where there is exact information, that would be of help also.

Basically, since he's being so awesome, I want to give him an exact order so he can stop, get stuff, and get out with minimal intrusion on his vacation.

Thanks for taking the time to read/any help or advice that can be given. Sorry for the intrusion and last-minute nature of this. (Since the Funkatorium, who I'd called AFTER the brewpub had responded, I just figured I'd hear from them sooner or later. Not that they still can't respond, but I'll probably leave another message in the morning before they open, just in case.)

I have a friend in the same situation, would you mind posting what the Funkatorium has for sale please?

Thanks WckdVbz! Never noticed that (or heard anyone who's looked at the on tap page point it out). VERY much obliged!

beernuts, gimme a sec and I'll load the pics from the text.

Sorry beernuts, just got a call. On it now.

**dumb question; how do I post pics? Don't see the paperclip to attach anything.

Didn't check to see if the stuff on these lists is what's on the taplist posted above. It's just what they texted to me from the Funkatorium earlier.

Also, the message thing for the brewpub didn't work, but my buddy got through to the "restaurant" part. In addition to what's showing on the site, they also have Dark Age BBA stout. If your buddy's headed there.

Thanks again WckdVbz! Much appreciated for the help (and no "use the f'ing search noob"post).

You can also email WW and they will send you the list at both places. They respond quickly and I always do that.

A while back, I guy I know had some lists... I bet that's what he'd done.

Thanks MOVERTON1284! I'll keep that in mind if I ever get this opportunity again. (Believe me, there are still a ton of beers I won't have yet tried.)

Just FYI, you can also always check the websites of bottle shops around the state to help get an idea of what's at WW currently. It won't always match up 100% exactly, but it's generally pretty close. Places like Peabody's, Tasty, and I'm sure others have recent arrival lists on their sites. Obviously not as good as getting the actual list from WW, but in an "emergency" it could be an additional resource. Right now for instance, every bottle on that list posted above except for Cerise Morte is available here in the Triangle.

I will be at WW on Saturday or Sunday. Gonna pick up some stuff for myself and for trade. Any recommendations aside from their sours as what is best and most trade worthy? Love IPAs usually. Thanks!

Thanks for the head's up. When I went looking for those lists just now, I didn't see Peabody's under AVL places. Is it the one in Boone? TBC looks like a good spot to hit, were one in town. Seems almost equidistant between 3 breweries/brewpubs.

Yesterday, while drinking some Trillium and discussing some problems that were had in our order being filled correctly, we discussed how, as awesome as our hauls would be, there's just no substitute for us getting our butts down to AVL and sampling the beer, food, and culture of the area. Tasty looks like another worthy stop if/when we make it to town.

Thanks to all the hospitable people that have stopped in to help. The order eventually got filled and I'm pretty sure the beer is either on its way back or maybe already be back in our area. Hoping to have it in hand soon. As I sip my first Wicked Weed, in addition to toasting the fine gentleman that brought all this beer back, I'll gladly toast all of you that helped with information and kindness. Cheers!

That cerise morte will be damn good with a little age. Legit beer there.

Age, you say? That was one of the beers we are getting brought home to us.

I'd like to hear other opinions on this as we are going to need to come to a joint decision on when we drink it. (Probably should have gotten two of them.)

Yep Peabody's is the one in Boone. They ship too, so if you ever need a WW fix and don't have someone there you can order from them.

If you've got just one bottle, drink away no question. Not a fan of aging beers you haven't had fresh or before.

I say that as a real fan of what wicked weed does, I also feel some of their beers are rushed to package. I think most of them need time in the bottle to develop more funk and their house strain is somewhat quick to sour away and clean up.

I will say though- garcon de ferme is one beer that is about damn near complete right now. So much Brett and peaches.

Drink your morte and try and trade for another.

It was sold out for a bit yesterday but stocked back up well when I dropped back in. People are taking larger amounts for fear it won't last especially being silent released and no distro
