I assumed we'd start seeing regional distro of the mainline Angel series in 2017, sounds like I was pretty close. I'm guessing whatever Angels they re-release this year will still be brewery-only like they're doing for next week's Red Angel release, then maybe regional distro starting next year, in a seasonal format, for each Angel? I'd be thrilled.

Will be a major upset, IMO, if they haven't sold by mid 2017.

I've heard that it'll only be $25 per bottle next year!

I'm surprised the price for Red Angel didn't increase this year. Double the fruit and we're still somehow getting it for $20/btl.

Great beers, I can't do the sour stuff that they get huge accolades for, but their non-sour stuff is excellent

Wicked Weed started with more money than the vast majority of breweries will ever make in their lifetime.

Curious. Do they have big time/money investors or family money, self made (or all of he above)?

Family and/or investors are related to the Dickinson's jelly company, I believe.

I thought their money came from Proactiv?

I guess I was wrong. Regardless, they've always had steady cash flow. It does help they make good beer though.

Technically their 3rd brewery. The Funkatorium doesn't have a brewhouse, it is just barrel storage.

Thought it was 16-18 last year. Regardless, charging more per ounce than most of the top tier sour breweries in the country with sours that often fall well short of top tier is a bit ridiculous. Then again, people line up to pay out their ass for their beers, so why stop?

Doing back envelope math, their prices per oz are comparable or better than Crooked Stave (more wild than sour) and Cascade. Those are two top tier ones. The Bruery and Lost Abbey I believe are similar or worse for fruited sours. Who are you thinking about?
And I'm not saying they are cheap - I have easy access but don't regularly buy because of the price point.
