So my best friends mom picked me up some bottles from Wicked Weed and I just received them. 7 different bottles:
    Genesis
    Royal Cache
    TakeTake
    Serenity
    Bretticent
    Black Angel
    Oblivion

The only one I have had before is Serenity.

    My questions are:
    Which ones are better fresh?
    Which ones can be aged?
Which one would i get the best return for in a trade? Not that I will but Im just wondering...

BTW the labels are absolutely beautiful. WW is an awesome brewery! TIA guys!

Bretticent gets better with time. TakeTake needs to be drank now, or the NZ dry hopping will go away.

All WW bottles are better with a little age on them IMO. I think they release them a little young. I had a Serenity recently from an early batch and it didn't even taste like the same beer, it was awesome.

Excluding the TakeTake of course, I'd probably go ahead and drink that one soon, as others have mentioned. And I guess maybe Lusus Naturae, although it hasn't even been out long enough to see how it would develop yet.

Which Royal Cache one do you have OP? Royal Cache is a series they do.

Oblivion and Black Angel are the best I've had. I would age the Black Angel for as long as you can. It's got a ton going on that should be conducive to aging.

If your Royal Cache is Malice, I would vote to drink it now. Had one last week and it was drinking fantastic.

Enjoy! The hardest part about ageing is finding out you want to try them sooner than later. Good luck!

WW is releasing 4 pumpkin brews on Friday. Anybody know if these will be available for growler fills or not?

I'd drink them all relatively fresh. No one knows exactly how these beers will age. The people who know the most about these beers and how often they need to age have already aged them and released them to be consumed.

Black Angel is great as is, and with some age on it. It's probably my favorite, but right up even with Oblivion.

    Oblivion is a stellar beer.

Genesis was tasty as hell too, and it was fresh.

Serenity I like the older bottles more than the fresher ones.

Bretticent needs age, but it's damn good.

Malice is tasty fresh, IMO. I don't know how it would age but the fruit profile is great as it stands fresh.

Genesis, Black Angel and Oblivion are my faves of that lineup, with a nod towards genesis. (Probably the wine nerd in me)

All are ageworthy except Taketake IMO. I had Taketake fresh from the bottle and it's now my favorite WW beer. I think it would still be a good beer with age but the hoppiness combined with the Brett made it delightful and I wouldn't want that to fade. Black Angel probably has the highest trade value since that's the one they consistently run out of.

^ Are Black Angel, Oblivion, and the other bottles for sale at the taproom? I'm driving down to Asheville in a few weeks and am hoping the Funkatorium is up and ready by then..

Oblivion was not available this weekend, but Black Angel was. Serenity, Genesis, & Bretticent are usually always available there and then they'll generally have a couple of the more recent releases as well.

They had just added a very drinkable Pumpkin Sour... Nice lighter side Pumpkin type beverage.
