Wicked Weed Serenity Release

I have no idea. I don't think anyone knows what to expect. I am renting a loft just a few minutes away, so I am planning on getting there around 8 or so. I guess if no one is there u can just go back and start drinking by myself .

 

I know that the anniversary event was packed, I had to wait for 15-20min to get in because the volume of folks. At the anniversary event they had a tent set up in the front patio. I have no idea on how this will go, not sure if they know. I will not be there, at least to stand in line. I may show later, will see.

 

My wife's parents live right outside Asheville, so I was thinking about asking my father-in-law to stop by, but I'm not sure if that's fair to him. He's not exactly a craft beer nerd, at least not the type who wouldn't mind spending an hour waiting to buy a couple bottles of beer. Hmm, what should I do???

I would drive up myself, but I have to be there the next weekend as is. Not sure I want to make the trip two weekends in a row. Damn! I want this!

 

I think the issue with providing advice is they have not done a bottle release before (as least that I have ever heard of). With Foothills SC etc. people can say, "I showed up last year at X:00 and got bottles", but there is no precedence for Wicked Weed. I'd love some more details like limits and batch size. I plan to go but not until 1:30 because of prior commitments. I'm hoping the bottle limit is small enough to make it last longer than noon when they open the doors.

I was there for the anniversary on Saturday and thought the crowd was very reasonable, less than expected.

 

If you get extras, I've got plenty of family in Huntsville/Grant area, and would meet to trade. I also make it to Asheville alot, so this summer and spring I'd be able to grab some goodies from up there!

 

Normally I'm happy to help out but it's going to depend on bottle count as I've already got a few other bottles committed to others in Florida.

I have the same mindset. I'm not down for standing in a line, but I was thinking about swinging by a little later after the initial rush to see if there was any left. If I miss out, oh well, no big deal. It is a great beer though.

 

People have started lining up beginning at around 7. I'm heading around 12, if j get a bottle, great, if not, I'm still looking forward to trying their stuff

 

Theres 90 to 100 people in line right now.

 

Still ISO on this, will be glad to trade something nice for a bottle as I'm a NC boy stuck in south Florida. Not worries about $4$ since its only 11 bucks, will send something nice!

First 100 people got signed/numbered bottles. Hats being pressed on-site with the label art and t-shirts also available.

I rolled in at 6 last night and there where still plenty of bottles there. I was able to hit up the Jackie Os release a few hours before. It was a good day for beer.

 

Are there still bottles? If anybody in Ashville can go over and grab two I'll trade Florida stuff or something for some.

 

I will be at Wicked Weed on Thursday, I can check then if no one else knows.

I was in town from Thursday-Sunday but wasn't aware of the release. Good thing, I didn't want to waste half a day standing in line. We went in Thursday night for dinner and it was ridiculous. Each time we passed it afterwards throughout the weekend it was even more packed, I can't imagine trying to get a seat, much less a bottle on Saturday. Kudos to those who did.
