Widmer Raspberry Russian Imperial Stout

Weeks and weeks.

 

I've seen it for about the last week here in Columbus, picked up a bottle last weekend and drank it on Tuesday. While it was a solid brew, it was very underwhelming due to price ($12.99) and lack of raspberry flavor. For that price, give me a four pack of Plead the 5th all day long or even the Big Bad Baptist from Epic. Both are better tasting stouts and almost have as much fruit flavor as the Widmer RIS (which is damn near none). I probably won't be dropping another $13 on a Widmer bottle. Maybe some barrel aging would've made things worth it.
