saw this on NB website.........had this beer (the original) and really liked it.......want to make it...........so the question is? What to do with the pecans between the steep and when "I need them again", after the boil.....you’ll return them to kettle after the boil."............should I have two bags? .......one for the grains that I don't need to use again and one for the pecans that I will use again?............and what do I do with the pecans and muslin bag (if I use two bags) from steep to return after the boil...sanitize???........its a 90 minute boil

    According to the directions...........

    directions:

"Crush the 8 oz Toasted Pecans and place in muslin bag
and steep with specialty grains. Steep for 20 minutes
or until water reaches 170°F. Remove the grain bag
and discard. Remove, but do not discard, the crushed
pecans—you’ll return them to kettle after the boil."

    Thanks in advance

No need to sanitize in between as the boil itself will do that for you.
