Wild Earth Brewing (Roslyn, WA)?

Very professional, I'll have to check them out this Summer.

 

Road trip!

With all the through traffic in both summer and winter (hikers, campers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers etc.), I can see this kind of outfit working well. Also, there's that big Suncadia resort/development up in that area and there's not a whole lot of options for going out at night.

 

They are starting to self-distribute.. seen bottles a few places in the local area and Ellensburg.

I'll be keeping an eye out for them, though they probably will take their time finding their way to eastern Washington (no that's not Bellevue, Seattleites), if they do at all.

Concur with those that have expressed surprise that Roslyn could support two breweries.

 

I'm not that surprised. Sure, it's a tiny village of ~1k people, but it's a "tourist destination" village. YTo use a bigger example, does anyone really think Bend could support 18 (give or take) breweries on its own if it wasn't a huge destination town in close proximity to a major metro like Portland? Hell, even with all the tourist traffic I'd still wager that the vast majority of the beer produced in Bend is shipped to (and consumed) somewhere else.

For that matter, I doubt the people of Baker City could have supported Barley Browns' recent expansion with their own livers. I would bet serious money that 75% or more of the beer coming out of their new facility is headed to Portland, Boise, or wherever else they're distributing.

 

Rosyln's dark lager is quite popular in the Puget Sound and I see their pale lager taps occasionally. There's not much of a market in Rosyln/Cle Elum. I'm don't pub around eastern Washington much, but I'm assuming with their east slopes location they have decent distro in at least central Washington.
