My Draft system has been working fine then bam!, wild foamy pours. Temp. is good,(38 degrees cooler and faucet), pressure wasn't changed steady at 15lbs. I did have a problem with temp and co2 regulator but that's been addressed and now its like starting from scratch. Any suggestions?
38F and 15 PSI will reach equilibrium at almost 3 volumes of CO2. That's a little high for most styles. What's the inner diameter and length of your beer line?
You didn't say what style of beer you're serving, but I second VikeMan's opinion that 3 vols of CO2 is awfully high for most styles. Beers that require that level of carbonation - many Belgians, for example - are best served from bottles. Most American styles are happy around 2.5 vols of CO2, or about 10-11 psi at 38F, if memory serves. That requires about 5-6' of 3/16" ID beer line for a good pour. Assuming your beer is, indeed, properly carbonated (if you routinely serve such beers, you probably know whether or not it is), you can alleviate the problem by adding a few feet of beer line. I'm guessing you've got about 5' on there now, since it was ok in the past. That said, I would read up on balancing your system. There are lots of websites that explain what you need to do and, more importantly, why - it's helpful to know that. Here's a good one: http://www.franklinbrew.org/wp/?page_id=98 Good luck.
