I'm assuming that the name on the ticket needs to match the ticket holder's ID when you show it at the door. I read the rules a bunch of times and it never specifically says that but everything sort of suggests that's how this is going down.

Edit: never mind, post above says they can be transferred

I'm probably just being a curmudgeon, but it kinda bothers me that this charity event has already resulting in people who didn't win the lottery offering up extra $$ and rare bottles to buy someone else's tickets. I like to think that if I won the lottery and couldn't go I'd just, you know, not buy the dang tickets instead of trying to make money on it. To each his own and I guess I can't fault people for not turning down these offers, but it doesn't feel right to me.

I feel the tickets should have been non-transferable. That would have curbed the whole thing. Except scalping your +1, but then you'd have to show up with the person you just raked over the coals. :stuck_out_tongue: It's just a given for anything with tickets. If someone bought and can't go, selling at face value is the right thing to do. That just isn't seen in the wild too often. Either way, people do what they do. I don't let it bother me.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I thought when it originally was announced they said tickets were nonstransferable. They should be, because otherwise people would get every friend/relative to enter the lotto and sell any extras for profit.

Question, has anybody received rejection emails? I'm from NC and am still awaiting a reply.

I haven't received a rejection email, but I wasn't expecting one. I did email Allagash earlier today to give my feedback on the fact that tickets being transferable has resulting in people on this forum demanding whales + face value for tickets and noting the irony of that happening when this event centers around a beer that was brewed to be shared and not bottled and hoarded  Haven't heard back yet though.

Given that any tickets not bought by 3/31 thrown back and redistributed through the lottery, I don't expect any rejection emails to go out for a while.

I don't think there are or were ever supposed to be rejection emails. One email that your email address was accepted/entered into the drawing. A final email indicating whether you were selected to buy tickets for a specific session.

I never got an accepted email and they all seemed to go out on the 25th. I'm not expecting one to just show up now unfortunately. Luck of the draw.
