Just got one as well for the 1-4pm session. These must be left over tickets from people that didn't end up purchasing when they were first released.

 

That's awesome news, both for you and for my faith in this community. I am really pleased to see that at least some people who couldn't go just passed on the tickets so others could buy them instead of trying to parlay them into whalez

 

Both my sister and I had to pass on our (4) first session tickets. Figured I'd let the lotto sort things out instead of playing god in the trade forum. So yeah, to those who got a second chance, enjoy!

Gotta stop by Novare Res. The best beer bar in Portland IMHO. As for food. I love...

The Thirsty Pig (Awesome Sausages and beer selection)
Slab (Pizza on steroids and beer selection)
Fisherman's Grill (Seafood/Lobster rolls/Anything fried)
Bibo's Madd Apple Cafe (Breakfast) although there are many breakfast places that are highly rated we keep going back here
Pai Men Miyake (Great Ramen and beer selection)

If you're looking for a particular style/cuisine shoot me a PM and I'll get you some recomm's. As far as great restaurants with great taplists my faves are Pai Men Miyake, Slab, Thirsty Pig, Outliers, and King's Head. Novare is a must go.

so i had two tickets locked down for me and my friend but the guy sold them to someone else before I could respond that I was still interested. I have flights booked, hotel booked, friends coming from cape cod and DC to meet me to go the event.

desperately hoping they email me with a chance to buy tickets cause i think at this point im SOL. had a serious panic attack when i saw the messages when i woke up and now im sitting here wallowing in my own sorrows because im flying across country now with no promise of even getting into the event.

 

That sucks man, I really hope someone comes through for you.

If it makes you feel any better, I've had a number of offers to buy tickets disappear as soon as I don't put enough whalez on the table.

 

Afternoon session for me and my wife(actually her email was the winner ). We're driving up from PA, couldn't be more excited. My wife is actually in labor with our second right now(still a few hours away from pushing, I'm not THAT guy who's on the internet while his wife is in full labor). Looking forward to the event and to hitting MBC. Hope to meet some people there!

 

Also, any speculation as to what Cantillon will pour for the event? It specifically mentions rare beers, that is so enticing...
I have to figure we're guaranteed beatification...

 

Rare is such a broad term that who knows what it could be. It could be anything from fou, or lou pepes to some of the blabaer. They have to serve 700 people so I'm assuming it's not anything real high up.
