Wild Minds One Year Anniversary Party

I only went there once. It was about a month ago. The beers I had were fantastic. It's just Wild Mind by the way. I've heard they are touchy about folks adding an s to Mind.

 

I still hear people say "Surlys".

 

One year in, and Wild Mind is brewing as good and as interesting beer as just about anybody else in the Upper Midwest right now. I now rank them among the top 5 breweries in the state. Minnesota Beercast recently featured an intelligent and informative interview with co-founder/brewer Mat Waddell.

 

Yeah, like my old man, and all his buddies. They love Surly's. I think it's great. A throw back to when every beer had an "s" at the end of its name.

 

It worked for August Schell Brewing Company.

 

I work at 2 until 6:30, so sadly I probably won't be making it. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake sounds tasty though.

 

I agree that is sounds super tasty, in fact, it has prompted me to make a real pineapple upside down cake for my birthday tomorrow. I hope to have the beer to go with it.

 

Anyone have the anniversary beer yet?

Tried the anniversary beer. I liked it. The pineapple and vanilla bean presence was pretty prominent and delicious. I found it a bit more acidic than some of their other beers, but it was nice, very unique.
