So I'm watching, yet again, Beer Wars on Netflix. I was just wondering if there will ever be an updated Beer Wars. This could easily be updated on a yearly basis. My how the industry has changed just since 2009. Reading the numbers on paper only does so much. Putting this into movie form is something else. Get pumped for craft brew. Any feedback...

I would like to see this become a series as well. It doesn't have to be every year, every few years would be cool with me.

Me and some of my beer geek buddies snuck a handful of nice beers in for the livecase of it with the discussion following the feature. It was such a cool experience. I wonder if it was considered a success because some sort of annual livecast of a beer-driven documentary would be a blast.

I'd love to see additional versions of the movie.

I'd watch an update (or an unrelated but similar project) if Anat Baron had nothing to do with the project.

I'll get started on the sequel tonight.
Can somebody send me some beer and a camera?

    How about $100,000 too?

Beerwars: Texas would work... as Texas has some really crappy laws limiting craft breweries and their ability to move product.... thanks to the big 3 I'm sure.

Beer Wars would be a much better movie to watch now knowing that Moonshot--or whatever the hell that woman was pushing--crashed and burn. There is at least a little justice in the universe.

I think the updated version should be in twenty years, and could be called, "If you can't beat em, join em, if you can't join em, buy em"

So which Goose Island lovers no longer buy their products now that the Boogey Man owns them? Apparently not many.
5 times as much still sells out

I don't buy them any longer.

Same here. Zero InBev-owned products in my house.

And I thought Beer Wars had some good moments. I would watch a sequel.

I think it's too soon for a sequel regardless of who produces it. While craft beer is hot right now, it'll be interesting to see where things stand in 2019 (10 years after the film's release). I don't think the big brewers are going to sit on their hands while craft continues to take market share from their brands.
Documentaries (unlike reality TV) have the luxury of history and perspective.
And to those of you who continue to support my film, thank you!
