Sadly I've only managed the Sam Adams Honey Queen. I'd like to try more of the style but I don't think I've seen another sitting on shelves around here before.

There just are not enough hops in a braggot to satisfy America's craft beer drinkers and create a big enough market for most breweries to be willing to put one out. Braggots are also pretty heavy and it's hard to see people spending a hot afternoon pounding braggots instead of IPA's or pales.

Sam Adams Honey Queen was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Its a shame I cant get it in 4 or 6 packs and only in 8 dollar bombers.

Surprised that Weyerbacher Sixteen hasn't been mentioned yet. It was amazing when it was fresh. Didn't age well. I hope Braggots become more popular. I like sweet/semi-sweet mead and dark beer. Not sure if all braggots are dark or not.

If you're in Southern Oregon there's a small operation called Fire Cirkl, He does a Braggot(Dragon's Blood) and it's awesome. He also made one with Heather, Naughty Heather.

Braggots are interesting . I really enjoyed them when I made them they are hard to find. Big rock came out with one that is not half bad

A lot of people don't like mead, and a braggot is a mead/pale ale hybrid is the best I can describe it. It's a niche , and that's what it will be.

I know I made a braggot / cyser mead with some beer malts and some hops. It was really out there.

Yeah it was about 11% abv with about a 40 ibu . Really knocked you on your butt

The down side is it took me 3 months to ferment, nine months of staging, 6 months of priming and aging. Or there abouts.

Dogfish Head had one at their brewpub last summer that was the tits. Couldn't get enough of it when I was there that week.

One of the best selling beers at the bar I work at is a braggot, Guadalupe TX Honey Ale. Very good and well balanced beer. So yes I could see them catching on and more breweries making them, I do not think they will ever become a go to style though.

Also JK just brewed a honey beer, Biere de Miel, and it is delicious!

Actually Braggot is mead + beer (any beer). Braggot is simply made by blending spices and herbs with mead and beer, to produce a strong concoction with uncommon flavors. There should be a balance between the honey character and malt flavor with the hop bitterness not overpowering the sweetness yet should be noticeable. Today's Braggot may or may not be spiced. Pale Ale seems like would be a wrong style to use. Brown Ale seems more proper.

Arizona wilderness has a delicious braggot on tap right now, just had some yesterday actually. First time I have ever had this style and I can say I was a fan...

Ya the ones I've had from Kuhnhenn have been great, I think the last one I had was made with a Wee Heavy which is one of my favorite styles.

Most sours and berliner weisses don't have a ton of hops, if anything noticeable, though. Lots of beer drinkers aren't always looking for hops. Also, people are going to drink what they want to drink—you definitely see people on this site, anyway, drinking stouts and barleywines and whatnot all through the warm months.

I hope so; I love the style but have only had a few because they're so few and far in between. I really liked Weyerbacher's Anniversary braggot from a few years ago.

What percentage of BA's drink sours on a regular basis? I love sours, I keep a variety of them and Berliners in my beer fridge but I doubt they account for 1% of the beer I drink each month. So while I can see more and more people willing to try a braggot and maybe even loving it, I still doubt the style will ever become a staple in beer fridges across the country.
The hop comment was half sarcastic, look at the top 100 beers here and you'll notice how few are not very hoppy or very high ABV.
