I am in the search of a beverage center/mini-fridge/wine cooler for my collection. Right now I have a bunch in my main fridge and the rest in my closet. I need to get something before the hot summers come.

Do you think this will do? :
    http://www.amazon.com/Danby-DBC120B...rue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Any other product suggestions? I probably won't be able to fit everything in here, but I want to lighten the load on my main fridge since I share it with my roommate and I want to get what is in my closet into a fridge.

    Here is what I have:
    2014 FW Parabola: ~6
    2015 FW Parabola: ~12
    2016 FW Parabola: 15
    2013 FW Anniversary: 1
    2014 FW Anniversary: 2
    2015 FW Anniversary: 4
    2015 FW Sucuba: ~5
    2016 FW Sucuba: 2
    2015 FW Stickee Monkey: 2
    2015 FW Velvit Merkin: 1
    2015 FW Helldorado: 1
    2014 BCBS: ~ 20
    2015 BCBS: ~ 15
    2014 BCBBW: 1
    2015 BCBBW: 1
    2016 KBS: ~12
    2015 The Abyss: 1
    2016 The Abyss: 2
2014 Old Rasputin Barrel Age: 1

Then I have a couple straggler of not great importance.

Anyways, I was thinking of finding a fridge that would at least fit all my boxed parabola and as much as I can of the other boxed FW beers. Will this fridge do? Any other ideas?

Look at all those FWs! Unreal. True to your name! You're likely paying more for the aesthetics of the structure, so it comes down to whether that's important to you. The beers in my basement are stored in a few wooden cabinets - they're out of sight and stay right around 50-60 degrees year round, and that's fine by me. Basement is unfinished and hardly anyone goes down there. The colder you keep your beers, the slower the aging process; the warmer they get, the quicker they'll age. Consistency is king and the aesthetics likely comes down to where you'll be storing your beers. It's a great looking system but not sure if it's the right one to keep all your FW boxes stored away. Let us know what you decide on!

Oh I know that there is better, but I don't have a basement, nor do I have the $$$ to get a high end wine cellar/cooler. I just need something that will keep these bottles cool. It won't be the perfect system, but it will be better than having them in my closet, especially during the coming summer months. Someday I'll be able to get something better (or drink down my collection) But, also, not many houses out here have basements.

It looks cool, will keep your beers at a consistent temp and is priced fairly - I just don't think it will fit enough of your stock. Might have to get creative with your shelf arrangement, like storing beers on their sides. I could probably benefit from a more defined space - would keep my cellaring habit in check. Unless you have space in a garage for a more standard-sized fridge, this could be a good solution. And there's nothing like an excuse to drink through the stash to get down to a manageable inventory. If you get a thirst for MA beers let me know. Good luck!

Ya I'd still be using my large kitchen fridge. But, I just want to lighten the load in there since I split the fridge space with my roomie. I think with keeping everything in that fridge and then adding this mini fridge, I could get everything out of my close and into this mini fridge with space to spare.

What about getting a chest freezer and a temperature controller? That would fit everything easily and have room for expansion.

I'm currently looking at this exact cooler. Does anyone know if its possible to configure the shelves to have 2 that have enough room for 22oz of 750ml bottles?

I literally bought this exact fridge for this exact purpose after reading one review on here. It does not fit as many bottles as I wanted, but it works really well for a cellar. It is not meant to get as cold as a fridge, so it's not running a lot. I live in the desert, so closets are tough to keep cool, thus requiring a fridge. I think the problem is that the shelves are meant for can heights, so if you want to put in standard bottles and bombers you end up with a little bit of wasted space at the top. However, if you are a "store on the side" person then you could fit a few bottles up top and be fine. Currently I have 12 22oz bottles on the bottom and 26 12 oz in the middle shelf. There are three of those new BCBS bottles on the middle shelf, so perhaps if they were more standard size I could fit one more bottle in there. Also, I think I could fit one or two more 12 oz bottles on the bottom. I need to try and reconfigure to see if I can get more in there somehow. With that fridge though you will only be able to get in about 24 bombers (max) unless you put them on their side.

Read the second review at the bottom of that Amazon page and he hits the nail right on the head and posted a pic as well.

Too small you will only continue to add to the cellar so go big and get a fridge or freezer from craigslist and a temp control and your set.

Living in AZ I worry about heat for some of the stuff that I have stored in a cabinet so looks intriguing to me. I have been looking for something reasonable to hold a good percentage of what I have cellar'd right now. Plus it has to look somewhat presentable in the corner of our condo's kitchen. I have about 12 FW boxed beers on hand that are just killing fridge space. Another 15-20 large format and 40 or so 12oz bottles. That's after I have been drinking it down recently since summer is getting closer.

Having a dedicated fridge for most of my stash would be nice as there are some everyday shelf beers I would like to pick up more of for aging >1 year Old Stock, Expedition Rochefort 10 etc etc. Im not too worried about the non FW large format besides my Black Tuesdays as most of it wont be aged much over 1 year. I only have 2 BT so those can stay in main fridge once I clear out the FW stuff. If I could get 10-12 of the FW boxes plus 25-30 12oz that would be a huge space clearance for me. Looking at the Amazon review pick it almost looks like you could fit some cans on the top rack for ten fidy

Anyone know if the front door has UV protection? I am guessing no since it was designed for cans and I would be better served painting it black or covering in a black craft paper to protect from the sun. I know a tint guy wonder if a UV blocking tint would work to make it look more presentable.

It has some sort of light blocking property but I don't know if it is UV protection.

Everyone makes it sound like you just go on to Craigslist and find an amazing deal. Since I joined this forum I have been periodically checking Craigslist and either I am horribly unlucky or the internet is over-exaggerating the deals found on CL, as I have never come across anything that would be worthwhile as a beer cellar at anything but slightly below what you could buy it for new.

This. And I also would rather pay a bit more to buy brand new from a company, whereas you don't know exactly what you are going to get on craigslist.
